An iBook for Higher Ed

01.11.2017 - by  Jim Moore

This past summer, Jim attended Apple’s Worldwide Apple Distinguished Educators’ Institute in Berlin. As part of this meeting, he and 11 of his higher education colleagues from Brazil, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Spain, Australia, and the Netherlands decided to create something to highlight the use of interactivity in what Apple now likes to call ‘multi-touch books.’ The resulting Multi-touch books in higher education, which was designed and created by Stephanie Pfeiffer, was completed in September, and made available for free via the iBooks Store. The book has subsequently been highlighted by Apple Education in their Worldwide Program News, and downloaded more than 260 times by educators in the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, Australia, Mexico and South America.
